Maximus Care Fungal Defense Shampoo is a cleansing horse shampoo made with chloroxylenol. It gives the coat, mane and tail a thorough wash and rinses clean with plain water.
The formula includes aloe vera extract and lanolin to condition the skin and coat, and sits at a pH of 7 to 8. It is made for barns in warm, humid climates, where coats are washed often.
Fungal Defense Shampoo contains no raw materials listed in the FEI Prohibited Substances Database and is made in accordance with USEF regulations.
Directions
Use once or twice a week during warm, humid weather, in place of your regular shampoo.
- Wet the horse's coat completely.
- Mix 1 oz of shampoo into 3 gallons of warm water and apply with a sponge.
- Work the lather into the coat, mane and tail. Leave it on for 20 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water and remove excess water.
Precautions
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse with water for 15 minutes. Keep out of reach of children. If skin irritation occurs, stop use and consult your veterinarian.
